Burnet team tennis earns district win

The Burnet High School team tennis team beat Salado 11-8 Sept 12 in District 25-4A play.

“I am pleased to announce that we achieved victory,” coach Benjamin Boorman said. “We kept our playoff hopes alive.” 

Team tennis plays seven doubles matches first — boys, girls and mixed.

The Bulldogs swept through their matches.

Luke Suchomel won his boys singles match in a third-set tiebreaker.

Alex Burns won her singles match thanks to winning her third-set tiebreaker that gave Burnet an added victory.

Burnet welcomes Liberty Hill Legacy Ranch, the newest high school at Liberty Hill Independent School District, at 4:15 p.m. at the Burnet CISD courts.
